Editor’s Note:  On the Engineering Institute of Canada’s website, the Institute indicates that there “are now 12 constituent societies that are part of the EIC federation, to whose societies belong over 25,000 Canadian engineers”.  The site goes on to explain that of those 25,000 members, only up to 20 are selected each year as a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada. Interestingly, the President of the Engineering Institute who presented the award is Richard Bathurst, a Civil Engineering professor at RMC for over 37 years!
