Who We Are: We are comprised of anyone who at some point was in the Class that graduated in 1979 from one of the three Canadian Military Colleges – the Royal Military College (RMC), the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean (CMR), or the former Royal Roads Military College (RRMC).
Our Vision: Heartfelt collaboration of Class of 79 classmates to preserve our unique community through regular communications and to provide relevant (to us) philanthropic financial assistance to the formation and development of today’s military college cadets.
Our Mission: We the Class of 79 form the “The TDV79ers,” an organization that develops collaboration strategies and implements action plans that improve the social impact and well-being of its members in order to stay connected and to solicit the financial non-profit donations and fundraising contributions from the Class of 79 for the enhancement of today’s RMC cadets’ college experience in the form of the Class of 79 Old Brigade Entry Project.
Class of 79 Website: With these goals in mind, this website has been designed to serve the following purposes:
to provide a forum for announcing various Class activities, such as the 40th Reunion in 2019 as well as entry into the Old Brigade in 2024;
to allow the remembrance of those colleagues no longer with us;
to acknowledge our accomplishments;
to inspire the sharing of photos and the recounting of amusing or noteworthy anecdotes from one’s time at the Colleges, or during one’s career or as a result of any other endeavour; and,
to encourage communication amongst Classmates in conjunction with the TDV79ers eGroup.
